<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an igniter assembly having improved igniting performance, stable quality and reduced manufacturing cost. <P>SOLUTION: The igniter assembly 10 comprises an igniter body 11 fixed to a collar 12, the igniter body 11 having a metal header 15 to which conductive pins 16a, 16b are fixed, a heating element 18 provided on the metal header 15 in electric contact with the conductive pins 16a, 16b, and a metal cup 20 applied on the metal header 15 and filled with igniter powder 21 in contact with the heating element 18. A whole peripheral face 20a of the metal cup 20 and part of a top face 20b thereof are covered with a resin 25, and a metal surface 30 as the rest of the top face 20b is exposed. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
