PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric power steering device having excellent steering property and capable of suppressing noise and an assembly method therefor. SOLUTION: Since a main body 1a coated tab member 1b is relatively displaced to give predetermined rotation resistance between a worm 30 and a worm wheel 13 and a light pre-load adjusted by it is set when assembling this electric power steering device, the sense of steering can be more directly adjusted and backlash is suppressed to reduce noise when compared with a conventional method in which an initial value of backlash between the worm 30 and the worm wheel 13 is suppressed. |
