<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To sufficiently utilize the function of an airbag system by adjusting an occupant position without a sense of incongruity using a retractor of a seat belt device even during a normal traveling of a vehicle. <P>SOLUTION: When the occupant position is moved in a predetermined range departed forward a predetermined distance from a reference seating position, a clutch mechanism 34 is brought into engagement by driving a motor 22 connected to a webbing reel 21 in a winding direction of a webbing 13. Then, the drawing of the webbing 13 from the webbing reel 21 is subjected to resistance in the predetermined range by the frictional resistance of the motor 22, and the occupant body can be regulated difficult to move forward. On that occasion, the motor 22 is driven in the drawing direction of the webbing 13 in order to cancel the frictional resistance, and the current thereof is decreased as the occupant position is moved forward. Then, a rapid increase of the frictional resistance due to the engagement of the clutch mechanism 34 is prevented to eliminate the sense of incongruity of the occupant, and the frictional resistance is gradually increased to surely prevent the forward movement of the occupant. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
