<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide methods and apparatus for making the resolution of a radar image in the cross-range direction improved. <P>SOLUTION: An apparatus 10 for acquiring and displaying a radar image includes an antenna 11 configured to receive a reflected radar signal; a processor 14 configured to convert the received radar signal into a received power function versus azimuth, with the conversion including generating a map image from the received power function versus azimuth by multiplying the received power function versus azimuth by a window function; and a map display 16 configured to display a resolution-imprpoved map image based on the received radar signal. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
