<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for input of a two-digit value at an operating device. <P>SOLUTION: In the method for setting a two-digit value for a function parameter for a function device at the operating device, the operating device is appropriately designed for operating the function device. The operating device has a sensor operating panel designed to detect and evaluate movements, independently of each other, of the finger in contact in two operating directions perpendicular to each other. Setting of the two-digit value at the operating device is achieved for the units places by a movement of the finger on the sensor operating panel in a first operating direction.
