<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printing system for encouraging a user, who handles print data which are inappropriate for printing using a power saving function, to save resources without troubling the user. <P>SOLUTION: A display 22 displays an ECO mode recommendation picture 40 on which a plurality of ECO modes are selectively displayed. A memory 212 stores the features of print data which are inappropriate for ECO mode printing. A decision unit 214 determines whether the print data are appropriate for ECO mode printing. A control unit 211 displays, when it is determined that the print data are appropriate for ECO mode printing by the decision unit 214, the ECO mode recommendation picture 40 on the display unit 22, and starts printing when the print instruction is made afterwards. Alternatively, when it is determined that the print data are inappropriate for the ECO mode printing by the decision unit 214, the control unit starts printing without displaying the ECO mode recommendation picture 40 on the display 22. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
