<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a solar cell having improved conversion efficiency of energy. <P>SOLUTION: The solar cell includes: a metal electrode 2; a p-type semiconductor substrate 3 formed on a surface of the metal electrode 2; a plurality of carbon nanotubes 4 juxtaposed on a surface of the p-type semiconductor substrate perpendicularly to the surface; and transparent electrodes 5 disposed on sides opposite from the metal electrode, of the respective carbon nanotubes, wherein the respective juxtaposed carbon nanotubes are varied in diameter stepwise from one side to the other side, and doped with atoms of the fifth group of the periodic table of the elements to be formed into semiconductors, and magnet bodies 13a and 13b which apply magnetic forces differing in intensity to tube arrays 4b and 4c, and 4e and 4f constituting tube array groups 4A and 4B of the same diameters among the carbon nanotubes varied stepwise in diameter are arranged on the metal electrode sides. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
