<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a piezoelectric single crystal element excellent in piezoelectric characteristics in a specific high temperature scope (for example, about 50 to 70°C) of T<SB>rt</SB>to (T<SB>rt</SB>-20)°C, particularly, at a temperature that is higher than a room temperature, concretely, at a transformation temperature T<SB>rt</SB>between a pseudocubic crystal and a tetragonal crystal. <P>SOLUTION: The element, wherein the element has a composition of [Pb(Mg, Nb)O<SB>3</SB>]<SB>(1-x)</SB>x[PbTiO<SB>3</SB>]<SB>(x)</SB>: (x=0.26 to 0.29), includes a single crystal having a composite perovskite structure, the value of dielectric constant at 25°C is 5,000 or more and the value of dielectric constant at the transformation temperature between a pseudocubic crystal and tetragonal crystal of the single crystal is 2.5 times or more that of dielectric constant at 25°C. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
