PURPOSE: A searchable color coding file system and a searchable color coding file method are provided to improve convenience which memorizes and processes a color encoding file. CONSTITUTION: A searchable color coding file method is comprised as follows: a step of converting a plurality of document file or an image file into a color image file based on color processing of information exchange type, a step of memorizing a plurality of color image file to a storing memory which is made in a color converting process, a step of searching the color image files which is memorized in the storing memory by a color key, a step of writing a list of a color image file which is targeted by a search of the color key.
