METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING TIN OXIDE POWDER BY RECYCLING INDIUM-TIN OXIDE SCRAP

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a tin oxide powder by recycling an indium-tin oxide scrap.

SOLUTION: The method for manufacturing the tin oxide powder by recycling the indium-tin oxide scrap comprises: a step of dissolving the indium-tin oxide scrap in an acid so as to obtain an acid solution containing indium and tin; a step of adding an indium metal having an ionization tendency larger than that of tin to the acid solution so as to precipitate tin by tin reduction and filtering the solution so as to obtain a tin-containing precipitate; a step of dissolving the tin-containing precipitate in an acid so as to obtain a tin solution; a step of adding an organic solvent to the tin solution and extracting tin by the organic solvent; a step of adding an acid to a tin-containing organic solution obtained by the extraction so as to conduct back extraction of tin; a step of adding an alkali to a tin-containing acid solution obtained by the back extraction and reacting the same so as to form a tin precipitate; a step of selectively separating, washing and drying the tin precipitate; and a step of calcining the dried tin precipitate so as to obtain tin oxide.
