PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the height of a surface mounting type solid electrolytic capacitor. SOLUTION: A surface mounting type solid electrolytic capacitor (electrolytic capacitors 2, 2A to 2H) which is surface-mounted to a wiring member (printed circuit board 64) includes an encapsulating case (8) in which a capacitor element (4) is stored, an insulating plate (6) including a resin injection hole (25) together with terminal through-holes (20, 22) that make terminal leads (12, 14) of the capacitor element penetrate and pulled out, and closing an opening of the encapsulating case, and resin (10) which is injected through the resin injection hole to seal the encapsulating case and the insulating plate.
