Disclosed herein is a non-therapeutic method for controlling an invertebrate pest comprising contacting the invertebrate pest or its environment with a biologically effective amount of a mixture comprising: (a) a compound of formula (I), 3-bromo-N-[4-chloro-2-methyl-6-[(methylamino)carbonyl]phenyl]-1-(3-chloro-2-pyridinyl)-1H-pyrazole-5-carboxamide, an N-oxide, or a salt thereof, (b) a component (b) where in (b) is at least one invertebrate pest control agent selected from pymetrozine; wherein the invertebrate pest is selected from the group consisting of potato leafhopper (Empoasca fabae), corn plant hopper (Peregrinus maidis), cotton melon aphid (Aphis gossypii) and green peach aphid (Myzus persicae).
