<p>PURPOSE: A broadcast receiver and a method of updating TV software are provided to update encoded/digital signed software while reducing memory usage capacitance. CONSTITUTION: A method of updating TV software comprises the steps of: receiving an update request of a system software(S301); downloading the system software through a wired path; detecting header information by reading a file header of the system software(S302); performing digital authenticating and decoding operation by reading each segment based on the detected header information(S303); and storing the segment by calculating each segment address based on the header information(S305).</p> |
