The invention relates to a device for testing a pneumatic cylinder under laboratory conditions, said device emphasizing the influence of oiling and the working pressure upon the friction forces occurring between the piston and the cylinder jacket as well as their evolution in time. According to the invention, the device has a pneumatic cylinder (1) wherein there is placed a piston provided with bilaterally located rods, supplied by means of a pressurized control distributor (2), in connection with the rods there being mounted some force transducers (4), and also some sleeves (3) by means of which there are achieved the connections with the rods of some pistons placed in two identical pneumatic cylinders (5) each forming separately the first non-oiled pressurized pneumatic circuit together with two direction valves (6.1 and 6.2) and the other oiled pressurized pneumatic circuit by means of some direction valves (6.3, 6.4 and 6.5) and a micromist oiling device (7), both circuits being discharged by the same discharge valve (8) at a pressure read by a pressure sensor (9) in order to measure the internal friction forces, in the condition of a dry friction in comparison with an oily friction at the same useful developed force.
