PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lighting device capable of responding in time of emergency by effectively utilizing characteristic of LEDs by lighting only the LEDs in the forward direction from a connection point, to which an auxiliary power supply is connected, from among a plurality of LEDs connected in series, by the auxiliary power supply from the outside. SOLUTION: The lighting device 3 lights the LED by feeding from the auxiliary power supply 4 when feeding from a main power supply 2 is stopped. The lighting device 3 includes: a lighting part 5 which is connected to the main power supply 2 and wherein the plurality of LEDs 21 are connected in series; and an external input terminal 6 arranged at an arbitrary connecting middle point 25 between the plurality of LEDs 21 in the lighting part 5. When feeding from the main power supply 2 is stopped, the auxiliary power supply 4 is connected to the external input terminal 6 to feed, and the LEDs 21 connected in the forward direction of the external input terminal 6 out of the LEDs 21 of the lighting part 5 are lighted.
