PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multi-lead writing utensil which decreases the number of components, suppresses a manufacturing cost low, easily narrows the outer diameter of a shaft cylinder, and obtains a slim appearance. SOLUTION: A plurality of writing elements 4 are stored to move in the forward and backward direction in the shaft cylinder 2. Operating bodies 5 are suitable for the back ends of the writing elements 4 and the operating bodies 5 are energized backward by elastic bodies 6. A plurality of window holes 22 extending in the forward and backward direction are penetrated on the side wall of the shaft cylinder 2, and by sliding the operating parts 51 of the operating bodies 5 forward along the window holes 22, the pen points 41 of the writing elements 4 are projected from the front end holes 21 of the shaft cylinder 2. Openings 23 for opening the window holes 22 backward are provided on the back end of the shaft cylinder 2, and a lid member 3 for closing the openings 23 is provided at the back end of the shaft cylinder 2. The shaft cylinder 2 is composed of a single member. Supporting wall parts 24 for supporting the front ends of the elastic bodies 6 are integrally formed on the inner wall of the shaft cylinder 2.
