PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a digital broadcast receiver or the like which stores a plurality of concurrently receivable services and, in a time zone where one service cannot be received in reproduction, reproduces any other service so as to reduce the missing part, and allows a viewer to perform appropriate viewing. SOLUTION: The digital broadcast receiver includes: a media decoder unit 50 which reads out a TS including services of at least two layers of a strong layer and a weak layer having a required C/N greater than that of the strong layer and separately reproduces out a service for each later; and a reproduction control unit 40 for performing switching control on the services to be reproduced out separately from the TS by the media decoder unit 50. The reproduction control part 40 controls the media decoder part 50 so as to reproduce out a service of a weak layer if services of weak layers are stored longer than a predetermined time duration, or otherwise reproduce a service of a strong layer.
