PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an engine control device enabling more appropriate idling stop. SOLUTION: The engine control device 1 includes a stopper 2a that stops an engine with given conditions, and a selector 7 that selects on or off of the stopper 2a. The device further includes a restarter 2b that starts the engine again when off of the stopper 2a is continuously selected for a predetermined time TN or more by the selector 7 after the stopper 2a stops the engine since the given conditions are matched.
