<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a color filter which can achieve high contrast and high color reproducibility and to provide a liquid crystal display apparatus equipped with the color filter. <P>SOLUTION: The color filter is equipped with pixels having a plurality of colors including a yellow pixel. The yellow pixel is a pixel which is formed by using a yellow composition including at least yellow pigment and a dye and which has film thicknesses of <5 μm, wherein a chromaticity coordinate (x, y) in a chromaticity diagram of a XYZ color specification system is located in a quadrilateral surrounded by (0.550, 0.450), (0.400, 0.600), (0.350, 0.550) and (0.510, 0.430). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
