<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow a user to easily distinguish an already read portion from an unread portion when scroll-displaying a document which is too large to fit in a display area on a display. <P>SOLUTION: A storage part 102 stores a document to be displayed in a predetermined display area on the display 12. An instruction reception part 104 receives a scroll instruction for scrolling the document displayed in the display area. A range specifying part 114 specifies a preceding display block displayed in the display area before scrolling and a subsequent display block to be displayed in the display area after scrolling, in the document.
