PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a marking body for a road, which does not hinder the movement of a vehicle even when the vehicle and the like come into contact with the marking body. SOLUTION: Two marking portion units, which comprise a columnar sign portion 11 elastically bent by the contact of the vehicle and a beam portion 5 elongated in a lateral direction, are juxtaposed; an engaging portion is formed at the end of the beam portion 5 of the one marking portion unit; a locking portion capable of being engaged with the engaging portion is formed at the end of the beam portion 5 of the other marking portion unit; and the engagement of them makes the respective beam portions 5 coupled together so that the two marking portion units can constitute the one marking body. Thus, even when the vehicle and the like come into contact with the marking body for the road and partially get into a space between the respective columnar sign portions across which the beam portion is laid, the engaging portion is disengaged from the locking portion, and a force received from the vehicle is released.
