PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a charging device capable of loading a failure discrimination function of a charging circuit at low cost. SOLUTION: The charging device includes the charging circuit charging a secondary battery, a charging switching circuit changing over a charging state from the charging circuit to the secondary battery, a current detecting circuit detecting current flowing to the charging circuit when the charging switching circuit switches the charging state to a charging stop state and a signal output means for output of an abnormal signal when the current detecting circuit detects current.
