PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a housing case that increases a locking dimension by increasing deformation of a locking wall of a side wall due to pressure of a projection without increasing the height of the side wall, and an electrooptical display module using the same. SOLUTION: In a housing case, an opening 21b formed in the side wall 23c of a bottom case (outer frame) is engaged with a projection 23d formed in the side wall 21a of an inner frame 23. The opening 21b is long in the longitudinal direction of the side wall 23c. In the locking wall 21d, a slit 21e is formed so that deformation of a position corresponding to the center part of the opening 21b of the side wall 21a in the longitudinal direction is larger than other parts. In place of the slit, the width of the locking wall of the position corresponding to the center part of the opening 21b in the longitudinal direction can be smaller than the other parts.
