PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an instrument dial which can increase the variety of design expression of various types of instruments and can be produced at low cost. SOLUTION: A clear printing layer 12 formed on the surface of a background printing layer constituting a tachometer A has a parallel line group 13 including many lines 12a arranged nearly in parallel in a predetermined direction, in which the intervals between the lines 12a gradually increase in at least either one of the predetermined direction and its opposite direction. This structure produces moire depending on the intensity, color, or the like of light incident on the many lines 12a, which can be visualized as a pattern. The lines 12a are printed also on scale marks 3, figures 4, and a pattern 6, thereby allowing the entire body to be covered with various colors and various types of brilliance to increase the variety of design.
