PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide aliphatic polyester-based resin foamed particles that are effective as a sustained-release perfume-containing body, have a slight change in shape and persistently release a volatile active ingredient such as perfume for a long period of time. SOLUTION: The volatile active ingredient-containing aliphatic polyester-based resin foamed particles are obtained, in a step for impregnating aliphatic polyester-based resin particles (preferably polylactic acid-based resin) with a foaming agent, by impregnating the resin particles with the foaming agent and a volatile active ingredient and then foaming the impregnated product.
