PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve an electric power steering device which prevents generation of unpleasant abnormal sound such as tooth hitting sound and vibration at a low cost by suppressing the number of parts and sufficiently suppressing heat generation in a sliding contact part between an outer peripheral surface at a distal end of a worm shaft 6 and an inner peripheral surface of a sliding bearing 17. SOLUTION: An energizing member 10a and a coil spring 11a for pressing a worm tooth toward a worm wheel are directly supported on the sliding bearing 17. A plurality of recessed grooves 22 freely holding grease are formed on the inner peripheral surface of a passing hole 21 constituting the sliding bearing 17. By this constitution, a sufficient amount of grease can be stably supplied to the sliding contact part from each of the recessed grooves 22. COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
