PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a print information acquiring system, a print information acquiring method, an image processing method, and a program capable of acquiring the print information of each print without loosing consistency in the same printing machine even when prints such as different kinds of color charts and prints except the color charts are printed. SOLUTION: An association table is generated which associates the print information with color values. Print information of a printout 34 is encoded into target color values based on the generated association table. Image data of management patches 42 having the predetermined color values are added to image data for printing the print 34. The print 34, which is printed by a printing machine 18, is colorimetrically measured to obtian the color values of the management patches 42. The obtianed color values of the management patches 42 are decoded into print information based on the association table.
