PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the feel in work when connecting a terminal fitting. SOLUTION: A first terminal fitting 10A includes a first plate-like section 12A composing an insertion space 13A and a first contact section 18A composing one portion of the first plate-like section 12A. A second terminal fitting 10B includes a second plate-like section 12B composing a guide section 13B and a second contact section 18B composing one portion of the second plate-like section 12B. Both terminal fittings 10A, 10B are elastically connected by having the guide section 13B inserted inside the insertion space 13A. Both plate-like sections 12A, 12B are elastically deflected so that both contact sections 18A, 18B are made to elastically contact only in a final stage of insertion. Both plate-like sections 12A, 12B are made into tapered shapes inclining toward the direction of insertion and the spacing between an inner surface of the insertion space 13A and an outer surface of the guide section 13B is made maximum in the initial stage of insertion and made narrower as the insertion proceeds.
