PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a window device which enables a movable louver grille for windows to be easily locked in a closed state from an indoor side, and which cannot be operated from an outdoor side in a louver-opened state. SOLUTION: In the movable louver grille 1 for the windows, the louvers 5 are laterally juxtaposed in a peripheral frame 4; both ends of each of the louvers 5 are journaled on a stile 4c of a peripheral frame 4 via a supporting shaft 6; the supporting shaft 6 of the louver 5 is coupled in the state of being turnable in an interlocking manner; and each of the louvers 5 can be fixed in a required opening/closing position. In the window device, an upper end of the movable louver grille 1 is openably/closably pivoted in an outward opening manner on an outer frame 2. Grilles locking mechanisms 3 are provided at both the ends of the bottom rail 4b of the peripheral frame 4, respectively. In each of the grilles locking mechanisms 3, one end of a rotary fitting 10 is rotatably pivoted on the indoor side surface of the bottom rail 4b of the peripheral frame between rising and overturned attitudes along an indoor side surface of the closed louver 5 only when the louver 5 is closed; and the other end of the rotary fitting 10 is provided with a lock portion piece 24 which fixes the grille 1 in the closing position by being engaged with a lower end of the indoor side surface of the outer frame 2 when the rotary fitting 10 is turned to the overturned attitude from the rising one in a state in which the grille 1 is in a closing position.
