PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simplify a path changing structure without causing sheet jam in a path constitution having a folding path across a path for directly feeding a sheet from an inlet to an outlet. SOLUTION: A sheet folding device includes a first conveying path 32 for guiding a sheet from an inlet 30 to an outlet 31 without folding the sheet, a second conveying path 33 which is arranged across the first conveying path to fold the sheet from the inlet, a folding means which is arranged at the folding position of the second conveying path to fold the sheet from the inlet, and a third conveying path 36 for guiding the folded sheet from the second conveying path to the outlet. The second conveying path crosses the first conveying path at a first intersection Cp1 so as to carry in the sheet from the inlet. The third conveying path crosses at a second intersection Cp2 so as to carry out the folded sheet toward the outlet, and a path changing means 63 for changing the sheet conveying direction is arranged at the first intersection and the second intersection.
