<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent failure in supply of a developer caused by solidification of the developer stored in a developing device. <P>SOLUTION: The developing device 12, in which a developer input port 40c into which the developer is input and developer supply ports 40a, 40b for dropping and discharging the inputted developer by the self-weight and supplying it to a developing roller 12-2 are formed in a developer storage chamber 41, is prepared, and put into a first attitude wherein the developer input port 40c is faced upward, and the developer supply ports 40a, 40b store the developer in the developer storage chamber 41 sealed by a sealing material 43, and the developer input port 40c is closed by a closing member 48. Then, the developing device 12 is put into a second attitude wherein a surface on the developer storage chamber 41 side of the sealing material 43 for sealing a first developer supply port 40a is faced downward, to thereby perform transportation, and then returned into the first attitude, and the sealing material 43 is removed, and thereafter the developing device 12 is mounted on a printer. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
