<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and device for managing colors. <P>SOLUTION: The method for managing colors includes the steps of: acquiring an RGB value from an image signal input from an external device; calculating the corresponding light transmittance of a red pixel, light transmittance of a green pixel, and light transmittance of a blue pixel according to formula based on the RGB value, a previously stored system transformation matrix, and a reference transformation matrix; and generating a control signal of driving voltage and/or light source luminance corresponding to the red, green, and blue pixels of a display device based on the calculated light transmittance of the red pixel, light transmittance of the green pixel, and light transmittance of the blue pixel and controlling so that the display device performs color display. The method for managing colors can make the display device exactly reproduce color information and can effectively solve a problem of color display distortion of the display device. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
