PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air conditioning device operable while determining a proper initial opening of a flow control device corresponding to an installing state of the air conditioning device such as a length of piping, external conditions such as a temperature outside of the device. SOLUTION: This air conditioning device in which a refrigerant circuit is constituted by connecting a compressor 110 for compressing and discharging a refrigerant, a heat source machine-side heat exchanger 131 exchanging heat between the outside air and the refrigerant, an indoor unit-side heat exchanger 210 exchanging heat between the conditioned air and the refrigerant, an indoor unit-side flow control device 220, and a relay-side flow control device 343 by piping, includes a control means 400 for setting the initial openings of the indoor unit-side flow control device 220 and the relay-side flow control device 343 in starting an operation by applying the heat source machine-side heat exchanger 131 as an evaporator.
