PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make horizontal line noise, occurring in an image, hard to be conspicuous. SOLUTION: An imaging apparatus is provided with: an imaging element in which effective pixels, which can receive object light, and light shielding pixels, in which the object light is shielded, are arranged in each of a plurality of horizontal lines; a correction value setting part which sets first correction values to be used as a guide when signal values of the effective pixels are corrected, based on signal values of the light shielding pixels to be arranged in the horizontal lines; an adjustment value calculation section which calculates adjustment values, to the first correction value set by the correction value setting section, for every effective pixel to be arranged in the horizontal lines in which the first correction values are set; and a correction value calculation section which calculates second correction values, to be used when correcting the signal values of the effective pixels, for every effective pixel by using the first correction values set by the correction value setting section and the adjustment values calculated for every effective pixel.
