<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a packaging device for a storage-type water heater, which is so configured as to enable checking, on receipt of product in physical distribution, if there are any defects, such as dents, on a product packed in the packing device, and also to reduce damage to a packaging material when it is being handled in physical distribution. <P>SOLUTION: The packaging device for a storage-type water heater includes: a package top cover 15 for covering the top surface of the product 1; a package fixing stand 12 fitted and fixed to the bottom of the product 1; packaging supports 20 for supporting the package top cover 15 and the package fixing stand 12 at the corners of the product 1; a first side protection cover 17 for covering the sides of the product 1 from one side; and a second side protection cover 21 for covering the sides of the product 1 from the other side.
