PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To appropriately control acquisition start and end timings in accordance with the situation of voice, without being limited only by a capturing timing of a still image. SOLUTION: An imaging apparatus comprises: imaging systems 11-13 for capturing still images; a voice buffer 18 for continuously storing voices inputted from a microphone 16 while updating the voices for a predetermined time length; a memory card 32 for recording the still images captured by the imaging systems 11-13 and the voices; and control systems 20-22 each for determining voice acquisition start and end timings while including the capturing timing of image signals of the imaging systems 11-13 in accordance with a period in which the voices stored in the voice buffer 18 satisfy predetermined conditions, segmenting the voices stored in the voice buffer 18 based on the determined acquisition start and end timings, and recording the segmented voices on the memory card 32 in association with the still images obtained by the imaging systems 11-13.
