PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a propylene terpolymer having transparency as well as softness, composed of a specific monomer composition and useful as a modifying material for a propylene (co)polymer, and provide a propylene resin composition. SOLUTION: There are provided the propylene-ethylene-1-butene terpolymer satisfying requirements that (1) the MFR range is 500-0.01; (2) MWD (=weight-average molecular weight/number-average molecular weight) obtained by GPC is within the range of 1.0-3.5; (3) the amount of a low-molecular weight component having a molecular weight of≤5,000 Dalton is≤3 wt.% based on the total copolymer and (4) the propylene content is≥2 mol% and <50 mol%, the ethylene content is≥5 mol% and≤49 mol%, the 1-butene content is >25 mol% and≤93 mol%, and the 1-butene content (mol%) is not less than the ethylene content (mol%), and the polypropylene resin composition composed of the propylene (co)polymer containing the terpolymer.
