PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily and firmly fix a support retainer for retaining a rail support for supporting a rail for a rail carrier, to a supporting plate installed on the ground. SOLUTION: In this structure for fixing the support retainer, a base plate fitted with the support retainer for retaining the rail support for supporting the rail on the ground is fixed on the supporting plate installed on a ground surface. The structure for fixing the support retainer includes a pair of right and left clamps which have a U-shaped recess for holding the supporting plate and the base plate from the outside, a drawing bolt for drawing the clamps to each other, and a fixing bolt which is screwed in from the backside of the clamp. When the fixing bolt is tightened by tightening the drawing bolt, the base plate is brought into an immovable state by being pressure-bolded to the supporting plate from upper and lower sides by means of a top surface of the recess of the clamp and a leading end of the fixing bolt.
