<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical film showing a good aptitude for handling, having such high optical expression properties as to improve viewing angle characteristics by itself upon being incorporated into a liquid crystal display, and capable of raising contrast in image display. <P>SOLUTION: The optical film is characterized in that: it comprises a thermoplastic resin; XRF intensity when performing XRF measurement of a film surface is 0.6-15; a total haze value is 0.1-1.0%; an internal haze value is <0.07%; a coefficient of dynamic friction at both surfaces of the film is 0.3-3.5; and formula (1): 25 nm≤Re≤140 nm is satisfied, wherein Re represents a retardation value in an in-plane direction of the film measured at a wavelength of 590 nm. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
