PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an indoor unit of an air conditioner, simplifying a work in discharging the dust removed from an air filter and accumulated in a dust box, to the external, and ensuring cleanliness by preventing attachment of the dust to hands and fingers during the work, or contamination of a peripheral section due to falling. SOLUTION: An air filter cleaning device S is equipped with: an air filter moving mechanism Sa disposed in an indoor unit body 1 for moving and displacing the air filter F from a prescribed air filtering position; a brush unit Sb disposed in the indoor unit body for removing the dusts from the air filter; and a dust box Sc detachably mounted on the indoor unit body, and surrounding at least the brush unit to receive the removed dust. The dust box is composed of a first box section 25A and a second box section 25B connected with each other, and holds a box structure in a state of being mounted in the indoor unit body, and a state of being demounted from and mounted to the indoor unit body, and the second box section is rotatable to the first box section in the outside of the indoor unit body.
