MARKER, METHOD AND KIT FOR JUDGING LIABILITY TO AGE-RELATED MACULAR DEGENERATION

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide: a marker for judging liability to age-related macular degeneration which is capable of predicting the development and progression of age-related macular degeneration causing remarkable loss of vision with high accuracy and probability and is suitably used for early prevention of age-related macular degeneration and selection of an optimal drug therapy for already developed patients; a method for judging the liability to age-related macular degeneration which is capable of conveniently judging the liability to age-related macular degeneration; and a kit for judging the liability to age-related macular degeneration.

SOLUTION: There is provided a marker for judging the liability to age-related macular degeneration which has a base sequence represented by a following sequence number 1 and is used as a marker for detecting the liability to age-related macular degeneration. The sequence number 1 is TGTCTCAGTGTATTGTTCTGTTGCTGTGCAGCAGGCATACAAATCTGACAATCTCGTAACTATTTGTGGCAAGC.
