<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lighting system which can make space lighting by controlling direct light and indirect light using a light source having high directivity, and is of low cost and excellent in productivity. <P>SOLUTION: The lighting system has a plurality of light sources 3 which are arranged on a substrate 2 and have directivity to the front face of the substrate, and a front light control board 4 and a side light control board 5 which are formed of a translucent material and control the light emitted from the light source.
