摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a clamping mechanism which secures the shockproof performance of an HDD and the rigidity of a motor. SOLUTION: The clamping mechanism is provided with: a shaft 140 which functions as the rotary shaft of the disk; a hub 120 which is a nearly disk-like member where a through-hole to insert the shaft 140 therethrough is formed in the center portion and which supports the disk placed on the outer peripheral portion; a clamp 130 which is provided opposite to the hub 120 in the direction of the rotary shaft and presses the disk; and a screw 150 which is screwed to the insertion hole 144 formed in the center portion of the shaft 140 and fixes the clamp 130. When screwing the screw 150, the position of the upper end of the fixation point where the inner peripheral surface of the through-hole of the hub 120 and the outer peripheral side surface 141 of the shaft 140 are fixed is positioned in the direction of the rotary shaft over the lowest surface 131 of the clamp 130 abutting on the upper surface of the hub 120.
