<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology capable of reducing the number of certificates to be stored. <P>SOLUTION: A management table 30 of a multifunctional machine 10 stores specification information 64 indicating whether or not each certificate indicated by a certificate ID 60 is specified as a certificate to be used in executing an application A1. A certificate in which the specified information 64 is "proper" is specified as a certificate to be used when executing the application A1.
