EDDY CURRENT TYPE REDUCTION GEAR

摘要

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compact eddy current type reduction gear to be installed into even a medium or small vehicle having no special compressed air tank.

SOLUTION: The reduction gear includes: a brake disc 1 fixed to a rotating shaft 11 of the vehicle; a permanent magnet 5 having magnetic poles alternately arranged over the circumferential direction so as to face the main surface of the brake disc 1; a rotating member 3 holding the permanent magnet 5 and having a switch brake disc 6, and rotatably supported by the rotating shaft 11; a switch brake caliper 7 having brake pads 8a, 8b with the switch brake disc 6 sandwiched therebetween and fixed to a non-rotating portion of the vehicle; and a motor-driven linear drive actuator 9 of a planet roller mechanism for converting the rotating movement of an electric motor 10 into linear movement to linearly drive the brake pads 8a, 8b.
