PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric toothbrush excellent in tooth brushing performance and brushing handleability. SOLUTION: The electric toothbrush 1 includes: a body case 2 housing a motor as a vibration source; a toothbrush 5 which is attached to the distal end part of the body case 2 and to which brush bristles 52 are planted; and a holding part case 4 attached to a proximal end part which is an end part on the opposite side of the distal end part of the body case 2. When the length of a part directly facing the holding part case 4 at a front wall part on the front side of the body case 2 is defined as a length P and the length of a part directly facing the holding part case 4 at a rear wall part on the rear side of the body case 2 is defined as a length Q, the length Q is shorter than the length P.
