PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To vary flexibility of a footwear sole structure in a specific part. SOLUTION: The footwear has the footwear sole structure and the footwear sole structure has a plurality of footwear sole elements extending downward from a joint. The footwear sole elements are separated by a plurality of sipes extending upward into the footwear sole structure. The plurality of sipes include the first and third sipes. The first and second sipes in a longitudinal direction relating to the footwear and the third sipes extend in a lateral direction. The thickness of the joint has the first thickness in an anterior area, the second thickness in a middle area and the third thickness in a heel area.
