PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a more efficient and cost-efficient dovetail connection between a rotor blade and a rotor wheel of a turbine engine. SOLUTION: The rotor wheel (102) and the rotor blade (104) are for use in a turbine engine. The rotor wheel (102) and the rotor blade (104) are configured to include a connection formed between a root (106) of the motor blade (104) and an outer radial portion (108) of the rotor wheel (102), and such that the connection fixes the rotor blade (104) to the rotor wheel (102) during operation of the turbine engine.
