PURPOSE: A reclining apparatus for a vehicle seat is provided to perform the locking or unlocking operation of a rotary flange by meshing or releasing a lock plate with/from a fixed flange. CONSTITUTION: A reclining apparatus for a vehicle seat comprises a fixed flange(110), a lever shaft(120), a torsion spring, a rotary flange(140), a lock plate(150), an operation unit, and a housing(170). The fixed flange is coupled to a seat cushion frame and has a first through hole and a first gear unit. The lever shaft passes through the first through hole and is rotated when a seat back lever is operated. One end of the torsion spring is coupled to the lever shaft, and the other end is fixed to the fixed flange. The rotary flange is coupled to the seat back frame and has a second through hole and a second gear unit. The lock plate is movably inserted into the lever shaft and has a spur gear. The operation unit supplies axial force to the lock plate. The housing couples the fixed flange and the rotary flange. |
