<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a particulate sensor which can eliminate a regeneration mechanism regenerating a detecting filter to be actuated over a long period to detect particulates in exhaust gas from an internal combustion engine, and to provide an exhaust emission control device equipped therewith. <P>SOLUTION: The particulate sensor includes an exhaust distribution passage in which exhaust gas distributes, the detecting filter arranged on the exhaust distribution passage for detecting particulates contained in the exhaust gas distributing in the exhaust distribution passage, a differential pressure detecting means for detecting the pressure difference between the upstream side and the downstream side of the detecting filer, an on-off valve arranged on the upstream side of the detecting filter on the exhaust distribution passage for permitting/prohibiting the distribution of the exhaust gas into the detecting filter, and a valve control means for selecting the condition of opening/closing the on-off valve. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
